This was my entry for the July 2022 Composing Competition hosted by Ryan Leach.

The picture speaks to me about a long-awaited but uncertain arrival. First I open the fantastically beautiful scenery. Then I use the music to tell the story of the arduous journey to this point. The beautiful moment of having really arrived is constantly mixed with the saddened memories and makes those arriving doubt whether this is really happening. Little by little, reality sets in: we have really arrived.
